Hardcover (no dust jacket) , First Edition, Second State, 340 pages plus five pages of publisher's ads at back (no announcement page to the ads). All edges of page block tinted yellow. Covers are grayish-tan variant with red/yellow/black artwork; red and black Woozie on spine. Spine and cover artwork is unworn, red on woozie (spine) slightly sunned; tips gently worn/bumped. No loose pages. 20 full-page color plates (incl 1/2 title page) , numerous half-page color illustrationsLovely color illustrated endpapers, corrected type on p.35 (red "C" does not overlap text). Small portion of bottom corner of p. 23 is missing and 1/2" tear at top of p. 205. A bit of grubbiness on first few pages of Chapter 1, Second free endpaper filled in: "This book Belongs to ___, Xmas 1921, from Santa Claus, 11 yrs of age." else interior of book has just a few smudges here and there; several B&W illustrations have been lightly colored in with colored pencil, which is ERASABLE. Bottom 1inch of inside back hinge starting, else hinges are solid and undamaged. Covers have light soiling and back cover has light pencil markings. Scans upon request. A nice copy, VG-
