First editions in dust jackets. Bowden 31a. A Thurber compilation edited by his widow Helen that was only published in Britain. Both volumes have the brick red cloth called for by Bowden. Only vol. 2 has the top edge stained yellow, also called for by Bowden, although we've seen many copies unstained. Volume 1 has sticker on pasted down endpaper from a Rome bookstore. Spine of d.j. is faded, else VG+/VG+. Volume 2 has a lightly browned spine on the d.j., else VG+/VG+.

Eight-page program for the Cleveland performance of the Ohio State University Scarlet Mask Club production of Many Moons during their 1921-22 season. Thurber is listed as the author of the book. This item measures 5 1/4" x 7 1/4" and has tape repairs, with all four edges of the front cover taped, as are smaller segments of the other pages. Some stains, some wear, but this is a very unusual Thurber piece. Thurber, of course, recycled the title for one of his best-loved children's books.
