James, Henry What Maisie Knew (volume VI) London The Bodley Head 1978 Hardcover with dust jacket, 283 pages. First pubished in 1897, this text is taken from the New York edition of 1968 (reprinted). Maisie is a child who must lead her life between her divorced parents, who are immoral and irresponsible (and takes eleven volumes to tell the story). Interior of text is clean and bright, no owner markings; turquoise paper-covered boards with gold title on spine are clean. DJ is priced clipped and has old price label just above clip; light edgewear to edges and tips of dj, especially spine ends, light vertical crease to spine, and 3/4" scuff from sticker removal on front panel.
