1 Worringer, Wilhelm Urs Graf: Die Holzschnitte zur Passion
Munich, Germany R. Piper & Co. 1923 Hardcover VG+  Graf, Urs 
Hardcover with paper-covered boards, 23 pages of text (in German) followed by the section of full-page woodcuts. Swiss artist Graf (1485 - 1527) made a living by designing book illustrations and working as the assistant to a stained-glass painter. These simple but delicate woodcuts by Graf illustrate the sequence of events which led to the crucifixion of Jesus. This book includes all twenty-six full-page woodcuts designed to illustrate an early copy of Die Passion. Inside is very clean, no markings, etc. Bookseller seal on inside front cover (in German). Pages are creme colored. Boards have light rubbing to tips and a few light scuff marks. Overall VG+ condition.
