Hardcover, 250 pages. The first ""tableau"" is a novel, The Aztec Princess, and is followed by four rather sensationalized Plains and Woodland Indian stories (Wright 2641).This is a binding copy (which would be recommended for rebinding) as covers have been damaged by water. Inside is extremely sound, with uniform light waterstaining which does not detract from overall appearance. All page edges are gilt. Brown covers have gilt engraving of an indian front and back, are still firmly affixed, but are ugly due to moisture, and spine has mostly molted off. Neat book-theme bookplate on inside front cover. Good only.
