Chicago Ezra A. Cook 1965 Paperback Very Good-
Small mass-market size paperback, this is a 95-page FACIMILE of the original edition, reprinted in 1974. The title continues: "...and of the attempt to carry off David C. Miller and to burn or destroy the prnting-office of the latter for the purpose of preventing the printing and publishing of a book entitled Illustratons of Masonry..." According to the publisher's introduction this is the "Cynosure Edition" and it was supposedly pubished to prove that "Freemasons throughout the United Sttes and Canada were either engaged in or accessory to horrible crimes..." A facimile is NOT print on demand; rather the text is photographed and reprinted to look exactly like the original pages. The book is clean inside with no markings except for gold labels from Cincinnati Regalia Inc. covering the publisher's name on front cover, title page, and at back .I'm assuming that C.R. I. reprinted the booklet in 1965 and 1974 from Cook's original copy. Several pages near center have light flattened folding. The covers are printed on glossy orange card stock, and the front covers and first page have a single flattened crease and light rubbing to edges. Overall VG- condition.

Paperback, mimeographed pages are bound in a plastic comb binding. Previous owner has lettered the title onto the comb spine. "A group of former and present Steubenvillians re-examine their life and times in the Ohio River Valley, with special emphasis on those few decades prior to and following the dawn of the 20th Century." Includes Dard Hunter's reminiscence of his youth in Steubenville "Waiting for the Lamp-lighter on La Bella Avenue." Front cover has a small tear at top affecting first page as well. Front and rear covers have some inconspicuous stains, still a solid copy of a very rare title (WorldCat locates only 5 copies). VG.

Large format stapled booklet, 19 pages containing 12 pages of coloured maps and 6 pages of text (5 devoted to South Africa and the Philippines and the history and events leading up to both wars.) and includes 17 B&W photos. Covers and interior have light discoloration at edges, not affecting any maps or text except the text on page 15. Wrappers are a bit tired, especially at tips, and have several small chips at edges and area on back where something was stuck from water exposure then carelessly removed. The maps are: Territorial Growth of the United States, Africa, South Africa, Basutoland, The Seat of the War in Cape Colony, Cape of Good Hope, The Seat of the War in Natal, Orange Free State, South African Republic and War District South Africa. Also, Alaska, Cuba, Hawaii, Luzon, Philippine Islands, and Puerto Rico. Overall VG- condition.

Articles on Doc Savage Man of Bronze and Doc and the Amazing 5; articles about and interview with Roger Corman; recent fantasy films, and several referring to Planet of the Apes movies. Overall near Very Good.
