1 Webster, James (proprietor) The American Medical Recorder Vol XVI, January and April, Bound together)
James Webster / Carey, Lea & Carey 1829 Hardcover Very Good
Two issues of this medical journal bound together, paginated consecutively to 492 pages plus index. Hand-colored plate at front is the April issue. The publisher of this magazine changed in April, and new publisher included a title page at the beginning of the April issue. The front matter of issue I seems to be from issue no. XLV, however all text pages from both issues are present. Includes the Baltimore City Court-Medico-Legal Trial commentary. The interior pages have no underlining or marginelia, foxing particluarly in first half (perhaps new publisher used different paper in their April issue); owner name on first page of each issue. The book is bound in full leather; the page block is tight, no loose pages. The tips are rubbed, there is some abraiding, however the hinges, spine ends and general overall condition of the covers have remained in amazingly good condition. The title in printed in gold on two leather title paste-ons, which remain clean and bright. Overall Very Good
