Two hardcover books, 585, 673 pages respectively; steel engraving of the author, with tissue, at front of Vol. 1. Transalated from the Polish by Jeremiah Curtin. Internally, the books are very clean, no owner markings, pages just a bit age-toned. Green cloth covers have the Polish coat of arms on the front printed in red and black. The spines are sunned, lightly rubbed, and gold titles fairly difficult to read; volume 2 has a 1/2-inch tear at top. Overall books are Near Fine internally; Good+ or better on covers.
