Finney, Ross Lee Fantasy in Two Movements: Statement and Variation, Development and Conclusion for Solo Violin NY C. F. Peters Corp. 1958 Paperback Very Good Signed by Author Stapled sheet music, 15 pages. An ex-library copy with customary markings, otherwise clean. SIGNED by the composer, and he has added a treble clef with a ling of notes. Small tear at base of spine, blank rear cover has a few small stains, still a fascinating piece with signature and notes in the composer's hand. This work was commissioned by Yehudi Menuhin for performance on his program at the World's Fair in Brussels in 1958. A prolific artist, Finney received the 1927 Pulitzer Prize for his "First String Quartet." Other awards followed, including two Guggenheim fellowships, the Boston Symphony Award, the Brandeis Medal, and election to both the National Institute of Arts and Letters and the American Academy of Arts and Sciences. Finney's works include eight string quartets, four symphonies, numerous chamber works and song cycles, two stage works, and an unfinished opera, "A Computer Marriage."; Signed by Author Price:
