Hardcover with dark green cloth covered boards, 209 pages plus ads. Dejeans, the author of numerous short stories, novelettes, screenplays (for silent movies), and novels lived in Santa Barbara, CA before her death in 1928. Inside is clean, four pages near back have small dogear at top tip, hinges are strong and uncracked, light soiling/yellowing on front free endpapers and edges. Covers are clean and bright. Design on front covers is a gold and white coat of arms with dollar signs, a white edge stripe, and white title type. Tips have a whisper of rubbing (no bumping), and there is a little water dappling to top 1/8" which breaks into white stripe around edges; white stripe has a bit of mottling overall; title type firm and bright. Spine is sunned; title still shows but publisher name at bottom really hard to distinguish. Overall VG condition.
