Author explores the highly dramatic life of Louis Napoleon Bonaparte, nephew of the great Napoleon and for 18 years, Emperor of France, and his beautiful Spanish wife who survived the emperor for nearly half a century. This copy is clean of any owner markings inside; blue cloth-covered boards have been bleached by moisture on the spine. Freckling to edges. DJ (now in clear mylar protector) has several closed tears and browning, and wear at spine ends and tips. No moisture odor. Overall VERY GOOD/GOOD+ condition
